Introduces intermediate digital photography processes as they relate to creative arts, history, media and culture in both a historical and contemporary context. Includes critiques, discussions, and presentations to establish the skills necessary to evaluate prints, explore artistic intent, examine aesthetic and structural solutions and expand perceptual awareness. Requires access to a camera with manual exposure controls, DSLR (digital single-lens-reflex) cameras are preferred. This is the third course in a three-course sequence for first year digital photography. Prerequisite: Two terms of ART 140 or ART 140B or instructor permission.
