Welcome to MSD 157, Conflict Management! This course is designed for professionals in management and supervisory positions who have the responsibility to both help prevent and resolve conflicts with their work teams. The goal of this class is to re-frame 'conflict' in a positive light, understanding that conflict is inevitable and, when resolved in positive ways, can bring about welcome change! The class will be composed of lecture notes from the noted text, 'Getting to Yes,' weekly assignments, class discussions, and a final paper.
Course Specific Requirements:
Students enrolled in this class will be proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending complex ideas in the English Language. Although the text by Fisher and Ury, 'Getting to Yes,' is not required, it is highly recommended.
