From the Instructor:
I want this to be a fun class. It should be a fun class. Computer Science can be a fun subject and it is my goal to demonstrate that to you. But there is some work to be done on the way. You can expect a chapter or so of reading each week about the theory and fundamentals of Computer Science. However, to offset this, there will also be weekly hands-on projects when you will program virtual robots to accomplish various missions. I think you will find the missions to be challenging, educational, and fun. You can also expect regular quizzes, plus a midterm and final exam. We will also have assigned times for online labs every week. This will be done on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm. You will find the weekly lab activities in your dropbox. These activities must be done during or before this time to get credit. If you feel comfortable with the material you can work on your own and finish it before the lab time. If not, please come online during these lab times and finish the weekly labs. I will be available in the virtual office during this time.
