Introduction to algebraic concepts and processes with a focus on linear equations and inequalities in one and two variables. Applications, graphs, functions, formulas, and proper mathematical notation are emphasized throughout the course. A scientific calculator is required. The TI-30X II is recommended. From the Instructor:
All online math courses at PCC require two on campus exams. This course will have its exams at the Rock Creek Campus. If you live outside the Portland area, you may make arrangements in the first week with me, to have your exam proctored at another location. This course uses the same textbook that on campus courses use. Refer to the bookstore for help in this. Please note that this course does not require MyMathLab, but does require you to type up and submit homework electronically using MathType or an equation editor from within Word or OpenOffice.
