Covers a variety of personality theories including the theoretical and scientific explanations for individuals' characteristic patterns of perception, thought, emotion and behavior. Emphasizes the understanding and mastery of personality constructs applied to students' personal and professional lives. Recommended: Psy 201A or 202A. Hello! I strongly recommend you purchase your textbook for this class in advance, so you can get started on the material on the first day of the term. We will use Personality Psychology, 4th edition, by Larsen and Buss, which is available at the PCC Bookstore. Please be warned that this is an intensive class, so be prepared to work hard -- but you'll learn a lot!
Course Specific Requirements:
The PCC Psychology faculty strongly recommend that you take Psy 201 or Psy 201A prior to Psy 214.
