HUM100 Intro to Humanities

Introduces students to college-level study in the humanities; promotes a sense of humanity through such topics as literature, theatre, art, music, architecture, philosophy, and religion by critically thinking about moral values, myths, aesthetics, and liberty; all of this within historical frameworks. It is designed to reawaken our sense of wonder and curiosity about the meaning of life. It shows how the various arts and sciences intersect, influence and are influenced by cultural and historical circumstances. Prerequisite: WR 115, RD 115, and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores. Audit available.  (For detailed information, see the Course Content and Outcome Guide ).
