Reboot NW is a federally funding training and employment grant through the Department of Labor. Scholarships are available to assist qualifying candidates with training and skill upgrade in IT/Software and Manufacturing occupations.

Free Certified Production Technician Training
Certified Production Technician (CPT) is a job where you can:
- Work with your hands
- Use machines and/or hand tools
- Starting wages from $10.00-$17.00/hr
- Work for a company that expects you to move up!
- Start with only a High school diploma or GED
The CPT is an industry recognized credential that will help our WorkSource customers get employed in the manufacturing/production industry. The course covers four key competency areas: Safety, Quality Practices and Measurement, Maintenance Awareness, and Manufacturing Processes and Production.
The training is eight weeks long: June 20 to August 16, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 2:30pm. The training is FREE to qualifying WorkSource customers. Space is limited so apply early!
How to get started? Come to an information session to learn more about the program and how to apply: Every Thursday starting April 21 through June 9, 1 – 2:30pm, room 222 at PCC - Willow Creek Center - WorkSource Beaverton/Hillsboro. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested to ask questions and learn more.
Customers can self register for the information session through their worksourceportlandmetro.org account or staff can register them. However, pre-registration highly encouraged but is not required to attend an information session.
* Before acceptance into the course participants must meet the following:
- 18 or older
- Legal to work
- WorkSource Customer
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Bronze or higher level NCRC award (offered at WorSource for Free!)
On-the-Job Training National Emergency Grant
The purpose of On-the-Job Training contract (OJT) is to assist businesses in training and retraining skilled, productive workers. OJT's may be used to help train newly hired employees. WorkSource eligibility required. Please check the OJT flyer for details, and contact the Regional Business Specialist.
