Error Messages
Haven't created a connection
- Message:
- "You are viewing a page on a website that you haven't created a connection to."
- Reason:
- On our system (this is unique to pcc.edu), the addresses of the page you want to edit must start with "http://www.pcc.edu/contrib_top/". The reasons behind this are kind of technical, but we would be happy to discuss it with you.
- Solution:
- Always make sure that the URL address includes the "contrib_top":
- Wrong: http://www.pcc.edu/resources/aspcc/
- Right: http://www.pcc.edu/contrib_top/resources/aspcc/
Can't edit this page now
- Message:
- "You can't edit this page now because Someone Else is currently editing it."
- Reason:
- The system is warning you that more then one person is trying to edit one page at the same time. Or, someone may have just left there connection on and forgot about it.
- Solution:
- Be a courteous contribute user - check with the other person before making the page editable. You can easily email them by clicking on there name in the error message.
