PCC Book Mark Project
Portland Community College will celebrate its 50th Anniversary during the 2011-12 academic year. Throughout the PCC district, campuses and centers will engage in dozens of diverse projects that will contribute to the overall goal of donating 50,000 hours of community service to organizations throughout the greater Portland metropolitan area.
The PCC Book Mark Project, sponsored by the PCC Rock Creek campus, will deliver 5,000 pounds of donated books to the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville. While the facility cannot accept textbooks, true crime or erotica, the library is eager to receive your books and get them into circulation.
The CCCF library is especially interested in fantasy, mystery, romance and non-fiction self-help books. Favorite topics include early childhood education and women's health. There is also a need for reference books such as dictionaries and thesauri. If you have Spanish or Russian language books to donate, they would also be well received.
Please take your books to any PCC library or campus drop site and look for the PCC Book Mark Project donation bins.
Thank you for sharing your books!
