Financial Literacy and Access to Improved Resources (FLAIR)
PCC is working to improve student access to college-related finances and information. These improvements will increase student retention, by assisting students to
accomplish their educational goals and ultimately manage their education-related
financial obligations.
Payment Plans: To provide greater flexibility for students, enhanced payment plan options are now available from the MyPCC College Business tab. Payment plans allow students to spread the cost of education at PCC into affordable monthly or bi-weekly payments.
Deletion for Non-Payment: Beginning summer term, students will be required to pay in full, or complete college-approved financial arrangements, two (2) Mondays prior to the start of the term.
Summer deadline = Monday, June 11th
Fall deadline = Monday, September 10th
Students who do not meet the payment deadline are subject to being deleted from their course registrations. Students registering after the payment deadline will need to pay in full or complete college-approved financial arrangements within the same day in order to avoid possible deletion, late fees, holds, and/or collections.
College-approved financial arrangements include:
- Offered and accepted Financial Aid
- Certified Chapter 33 VA Benefits
- A college account payment plan
- Scholarships, program exemptions, or third party billing authorizations received by the PCC Business Office.
Scholarships: The PCC Foundation will accept applications for scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year from Monday, February 27 through 5pm on Friday, April 6. Don't miss the opportunity to apply. Last year, the PCC Foundation awarded nearly 600 scholarships, totaling over $777,000. Check out the schedule of scholarship workshops.
Financial Aid Summer Start: For summer financial aid priority consideration, your 2012-13 FAFSA must be received by the Federal Processor by February 15th and all documents to PCC Financial Aid by April 15th. Submit your FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid form EARLY in order to improve your chances of having a financial aid package complete prior to the start of the academic year.
My Refunds: All financial aid refunds are now issued electronically. Financial Aid recipients MUST select a refund option and complete the enrollment process BEFORE the term begins by accessing the My Refund link from the MyPCC College Business tab.
Important! Students need to read MyPCC Announcements and PCC email regularly to stay informed regarding these new changes.
