In order to use your educational benefits to pay your tuition and fees you must first have applied for Veteran Educational benefits. Once you have completed this application it may take up to 10 weeks for it to be processed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- When my educational benefits are active, what happens to the money?
-
That depends on your chapter of benefits:
- Chapter 31: The college is paid directly for tuition, fees, parking and books.
- Chapter 33: The college is paid directly for tuition and fees. You are responsible for parking, books and any tuition and fee balance not paid by the VA.
- Chapter 30, 1606, 1607, and 35: Your benefits are paid directly to you and it is your responsibility to make payment to the college.
- What do I do if I have not received notification of my educational benefits by the tuition payment deadline?
-
You must make alternate payment arrangements. See the Tuition and Fees website for payment options and alternate payment arrangements. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Full payment or college-approved financial arrangements must be in place by the payment due date for the term. If you enroll after that date, payment is due immediately. If payment is not received by due date, your account will be considered past due and a late payment penalty will be assessed. See the Tuition and Fees website for more information on tuition payment.
There are many scholarship opportunities available too. See Apply for Scholarships web page for more information.
