Social Security Number Disclosure
Pursuant to ORS 351.070 and 351.085, PCC may ask you to provide your Social Security Number. Your Social Security Number may be used in developing, validating, or administering predictive tests and assessments; administering student aid programs; improving instruction; internal identification of students; collection of student debts; or comparing student educational experiences with subsequent workforce experiences. Social Security Numbers will also be provided by the college to the Oregon Community College Unified Reporting System (OCCURS) to meet state and federal reporting requirements. When conducting studies, PCC will disclose a student's Social Security Number only in a manner that does not permit personal identification of the student by individuals other than representatives of PCC. Providing your Social Security Number is voluntary. If you choose to provide it, it means you consent to allow us to use the number in the manner described. If you chose not to do so, you will not be denied any right, benefit, or privilege provided by law. You may revoke your consent for the use of the Social Security Number at any time by writing to the PCC Student Records Office, PO Box 19000, Portland, OR 97280-0990.
