You may ask to update your address by calling 971-722-8888 and choosing option 2.

Note: The actual date your funds will be available will depend on the date you were awarded and your application was processed by PCC. In addition, loans require entrance counseling and completion of Direct Loan Master Promissory Note.

If your award is not enough to cover all term charges, you must pay the difference immediately.

Students attending Tillamook Bay must pick up their refund check from the campus Business Office where they attend.

Additional loan disbursement information:

1st Disbursement

At PCC, disbursements begin the Wednesday of the second week of the term. For example, fall disbursement begins on October 5, 2011.

30-day Delay

Students who are first-time, first-year borrowers (have never borrowed a Federal Direct and have less than 45 credits of 100/200 credits of A, B, C or Pass) would receive their first disbursement according to disbursement chart above.

Note: If a student is a first-time/first-year borrower for Fall, there will be no similar delay for Winter or Spring.

One-term Loan

Students occasionally will ask for a loan for only one term. According to the chart above, if it is a one-term loan for Fall only, the first disbursement would begin October 5, 2011 and the second at mid-term, on November 7, 2011. One-term always means two disbursements.

One-term and First-time/First-year

The 30-day delay shifts the first disbursement to October 26, 2011.The second remains November 7, 2011.

PLUS

All PLUS Direct Loans require the following:

  • No 30 day delay disbursement
  • If one term loan there will be only one disbursement for PLUS loan.
  • PLUS will not disburse if student is in disqualified status
