Julie Green, Alpha Eta Iota President
Julie Green has attended Portland Community College since Spring 2010. She is a computer science major with a goal to attend a top private college to obtain a bachelors degree that will serve towards her career goal of being a mobile phone forensic expert. She is a member of the TRIO-ROOTs program and a graduate of the PCC Transition Program. She is also a team member of the Portland Community College Dragon Boat team and serves them as a communications officer. Julie has been involved in student leadership program through ASPCC – Sylvania byparticipating in a service work program which explored social issues, fundraising, and travel to help those in need. Julie won the ASPCC scholarship awarded Spring 2011. Julie is a dedicated member of Phi Theta Kappa. She has future aspirations of taking an international Phi Theta Kappa leadership role because she believes in the message that community colleges create exceptional community leaders. She wants to promote that message and encourage others to reach their highest potential. Her mission is life to make her community safer, friendlier, healthier, and more beautiful. This mission drives her daily decisions and motivates her to pursue her goals.

Mike Watne, Alpha Eta Iota Treasurer
Mike Watne enrolled at Portland Community College in 2010 and is pursuing an Accounting Degree. Hard work and persistence have kept him on schedule and he plans to graduate summer 2012. Portland Community College's Accounting Program has been good choice and a nice fit for Mike.Mike wanted to build on his academia and Phi Theta Kappa presented a fantastic opportunity as chapter officer for treasurer. Being involved with Phi Theta Kappa has paid off. Mike has benefited from Phi Theta Kappa’s vast leadership, and networking opportunities. His experiences in Phi Theta Kappa have led to treasured, fulfilling, and enjoyable friendships near and far. Mike accomplished an important goal and secured a paid accounting internship from networking. Mike’s ultimate goal is full employment with a successful and established company as a bookkeeper.

Cami Bishop, Advisor (right)
Cami is the head Advisor for the Alpha Eta Iota chapter here at Sylvania. She is also the Director of ASPCC (Associated Students of Portland Community College). Her dedication to community service and students is outstanding.
Stephen Arthur, Advisor (left)
Stephen is another talented advisor on the team. He is also the Clubs Coordinator for ASPCC (Associated Students of Portland Community College).

Kat Arno, Advisor (right)
Kat is on the advisor team and is a key contact point for processing all membership applications. She is also the Administrative Assistant for the Dean of Students.
