Career Exploration

PCC offers a variety of services and programs to help you explore different career options and prepare for life after PCC. It is never too early to start asking questions about different kinds of jobs in which you may be interested. By accessing PCC's resources for help with your career planning, you will be more likely to choose the program or degree that's right for you. In the long run, you will save time and money by taking only the classes you need for your educational goal, and you will be more likely to succeed in your course work during your time at PCC.

PCC Career Resource Centers have information and staff available to assist you with assessing your skills and interests, as well as, evaluating the educational opportunities as they relate to careers. The Career Resource Centers also have computerized vocational assessment software that helps you relate your interests, skills and values to numerous occupations and offers information on career fields, colleges and their education programs, as well as financial and scholarship planning. Our Counselors can also assist you with career exploration.

Don't forget, career planning also includes learning interview skills, preparing a solid resume, and possibly completing a work experience internship. PCC Student Employment/Cooperative Education offices can assist you with the steps necessary to gain skills in the workforce and your job search.
