Norton Internet Secuirty 2006

If you're having problems opening your course e-mail or composing a message, you probably have Norton Internet Security 2006. This software blocks some popups like the Compose message tool, and will need to be disabled to use Blackboard.

Follow the instructions below or watch this video.

Disabling Anti-Spam settings

Look in the system tray and you should see a Norton Internet Security Center icon.

Double click the system tray icon and it will open the Norton Internet Security Center application. Click on the Norton AntiSpam button.

First, turn off Ad Blocking

  1. Click on Ad Blocking.
  2. Click on Turn Off.

Then we'll Turn of Pop-up Blocking

  1. Click on Pop-up Blocking
  2. Click on Turn Off
  3. Close the window.

Now you should be able to open your mail messages.
