Blackboard CE6 and America Online
Blackboard CE6 now supports AOL version 9.0. However, if you are using an earlier or later version of AOL, you should use a separate browser for accessing your class. Most computers already have a browser installed, so you may not need to install any new software. We recommends Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox 2.0.
The following instructions will help you determine if you already have a browser installed on your computer.
Windows
- Go to the Start Menu (bottom left corner)
- Choose Programs from the Start Menu
- Look for either Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer in the list of programs
Mac OS X (10)
- Click on the Finder Logo (mac face in dock)
- Click on Applications in the finder window
- Look for Safari or Mozilla Firefox
