It is important that you understand the concept of immigration status and that you maintain your F-1 status while in the United States. You are responsible for making sure you know the immigration rules. The information in this section will assist you in getting to know the basics. Following is a list of things you can do to learn more about the immigration requirements for your F-1 student visa:

  • Read your International Student Handbook and the International Student website.
