Transcripts From Another School?

Official transcripts that are sent in to PCC from other schools are forwarded to the Office of Student Records, located at the Rock Creek campus. At the time PCC receives these official transcripts, a notation will be made on your student record that your transcripts were received, then the transcript will be placed in your student file.

If you wish to see how your previous college credits might transfer to PCC, you will need to meet with an Academic Advisor or Counselor. You need to bring a copy (unofficial is fine) of your transcripts, course descriptions for the year taken, college catalog, and/or syllabi in order to help with the evaluation of your courses. Academic Advisors and Counselors will give you an unofficial evaluation of your transcript and help you figure out what credits you have met at PCC. Sending your transcript to PCC does not mean your Academic Advisor or Counselor has a copy. A copy is only held in the Student Records Office.

If you decide to earn a degree at PCC, your prior transcripts will be officially evaluated at the time you fill out your graduation petition (two terms before you graduate). Talk with your Academic Advisor or Counselor about how and when to apply for graduation.
