Outdoor Challenge

This session is a culminating event that provides the opportunity for students to be challenged beyond their usual limits and to accomplish extraordinary goals individually and as groups. The session normally lasts for two days so as to provide ample time for participants to fully explore the issues that they have been considering throughout their OLI experience. The intense bonding that results will foster relationships that will support students throughout their educational experiences and as they seek to implement their live goals. Issues explored in this session include:

  • Leadership
  • Group dynamics and teamwork
  • Trust
  • Problem solving
  • Overcoming challenges

Objectives and Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Have opportunities to assume a leadership role.
  • Practice setting goals.
  • Solve problems as a team.
  • Participate in the Outdoor Challenge Course to their personal potential.
