The Rock Creek Student Computing Center

The Rock Creek Student Computing Center (SCC) has 52 PC computers for use by currently registered PCC students. The SCC is funded and supported by the student technology fee. Please call or drop by the SCC if you have questions about the Center, our operations, procedures or policies. We are happy to provide assistance.

Hours of Operation

Please note: The SCC is closed during the breaks between terms.

Workstations

50 Dell Optiplex 580 computers each with AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 B22 Processor, 4 GB RAM, each with 17" Ultrasharp digital flat panel monitor, 2 front facing USB ports, CDRW/DVD ROM and using the Windows 7 operating system.

Orientation and Account Activation

Each Fall, students need to complete an online orientation. This can be accomplished on any computer in in the following locations: Student Computer Center (SCC), PCC Library, or Student Learning Center (SLC). This is the same login and password students will use for GoPrint printing. Only currently enrolled students are eligible to take the orientation and create a login.

Each term, students will need to reactivate their accounts using the "Update Account" button on the screen. Once activated, this account is available for use in the SCC, Library and SLC at any PCC campus for the duration of the term.
