What We Do

Northwest VEG strives to create a healthier, more sustainable, compassionate world by encouraging the public to make more plant-based food choices. We believe that healthier individuals have more fulfilling lives and contribute to the community in lasting ways. Our work is predominantly educational, and we offer a variety of classes, presentations and events throughout the year that are always affordable and often free.

Opportunities for service with us

We need contributing writers for our monthly online newsletter and quarterly print edition; We're always seeking volunteers to staff the NW VEG table at various community events; We need a slew of volunteers to help with the planning and staffing of our annual events, including the Portland VegFest, Race for the Animals and our Compassionate Thanksgiving. If you are interested in education or pedagogy, we welcome you to join us in the process of revamping two vegetarian community classes. Please email Ashley at nwveg.org to learn more about these opportunities or others in the works.
