What We Do

The mission of the Hillsboro Public Library is to provide materials and services to help community residents of all ages and cultural backgrounds meet their informational, educational, professional, and recreational needs. Materials are collected, organized, and made conveniently accessible in various formats and for different ability levels. We strive to provide services in a friendly and timely manner.

Opportunities for service with us

Many short-term opportunities available in October-November and April-May with our semi-annual used book sale (set-up, stocking, organizing).

Ongoing (2 hours per week for a full quarter) opportunities include shelving books, sorting/pricing used books for the Friends of the Library, or computer monitoring/coaching. We especially encourage bilingual (English/Spanish) volunteers to apply!
