What We Do

The Southwest Watershed Resource Center (WRC) inspires awareness and action on behalf of watershed health at the neighborhood level in SW Portland.  The WRC partners with Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc, the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services, private landowners, and community groups to conduct outreach, support volunteer stewardship groups, and assist landowners with project development.

Opportunities for service with us

The WRC has many opportunities for you to enhance classroom knowledge and skills while supporting community outreach and watershed restoration efforts!

Service opportunities range from internships (academic term or year, e.g. Students in Service), to short-term project based work such as project design, planting plan, website editing, youth education programs, graphic design, database development and on-the-ground restoration projects.
