What We Do

The Mission of “The Wings OF Freedom Project” is to Honor America by preserving our B-17G Flying Fortress as an ongoing educational and commemorative tribute to our veterans sacrifice in defense of our Nation!

Our Vision is to honor our veterans and citizens for their bravery and sacrifices during World War II by creating a lasting memorial through the restoration of our B-17G Flying Fortress, the “Lacey Lady”. Our Goal is to provide today’s citizens with a rare opportunity to experience a restored example of this historic aircraft in which our airmen fought bravely while our citizens supported through their sacrifices at home. Our museum collection is designed to honor those who fought the war both at home and abroad as well as to increase our community’s awareness through education of the common sacrifice our nation made in defense of freedom during World War II.
