Summer 2012 Bookstore Charge Dates

Students may use their approved PCC financial aid to purchase books, course related materials (including some electronic items), uniforms and supplies. The purchase of gift items, clothing, food and drinks will need to be made using cash, check, debit, Visa or Mastercard.
Please note: All PCC Bookstore locations are closed on Fridays during July and August.
How to use PCC Financial aid at the bookstore.
STEP 1: Check in at Customer Service with your PCC ID. We will verify that you are authorized
to charge for the term
STEP 2: If you are eligible, we will give you a $ amount, and date range to charge
STEP 3: Select your books and materials and proceed to the registers
STEP 4: Inform the cashier that you would like to pay with financial aid and present your PCC ID*
If you do not check in before you go to the register, you will not be able to purchase your items and you will lose your spot in line.You may charge textbooks and other required course materials (including some electronic items) for the term. You may charge two weeks before the term begins and through the first week of the term.
Who qualifies for financial aid charging at the bookstore?
PCC financial aid students who have sufficient funds to cover tuition, fees and books, are enrolled at least half-time and who are maintaining satisfactory academic progress may be eligible to charge books and supplies at any PCC Bookstore. Any student eligible to charge books must have an accepted financial aid award and authorization allowing PCC to deduct the cost of the charges from financial aid.
Federal Direct Stafford Loan (only) recipients must have submitted also completed entrance counseling and signed Master Promissory Note. The names of students who are authorized to charge books will be submitted to the bookstore. This service is not available for students attending Columbia Gorge. Students attending Tillamook Bay Community Colleges may charge books if taking distance education courses through PCC.
Bookstore charges become part of your student account balance.You are responsible for any amount not covered by your financial aid funds.
You can check your eligibility to charge on MyPCC. Log in and click on College Business tab. Under Financial Aid Requirements, look for "eligible to charge books Summer term" with a green check mark. If you see this, then you can proceed directly the Bookstore and check in to begin charging!
