On Campus Fundraising
Chartered clubs and organizations are eligible to conduct fundraising events. EVERY fundraising event proposed by a student club or organization MUST be submitted to the Club and Programs Specialist for review and approval by completing an Activity Petition (form #8). If a student club or organization proceeds with a fund raising effort without review and approval by the Club and Programs Specialist they may have their student organization status revoked.
Fundraising events might include a concert, theater performance, martial arts demonstration, special dinner or other type of event where there is a charge for admittance. Revenue generated from admittance is used to offset the costs of the event. Any remaining profit is deposited in the student club or organization's account to use for organization business. Additional support may be sought to provide underwriting (funding) for the event, such as donations of food, entertainment, supplies, etc., which help reduce costs and allow that club or organization to earn more profit from the event.
