ASPCC 07/08 Student Leadership TeamStudent Government has several workstudy positions but also positions that are available for non-workstudy students. (International students may also apply!) All positions are up to 20 hrs a week.

Student government starts the hiring process in spring for the following Fall term and valid for one academic year. If you make the cut, you'll be learning communication and leadership skills for life! ASPCC employees have their own computer in a group office in the SC03 space and will be able to participate in the decision-making process for a wide variety of issues that affect students and college life.

Some of the areas we hire in are:

Outreach Coordinators
(Selling concessions, providing information and support to students and making the lounge a student space, updating bulletin boards, must be flexible, friendly, reliable and willing to help)
SC Legislative director voter reg box Legislative Director (Must have strong interest in local & national politics, able to organize and motivate people, as well as knowledgeable and approachable, good communicator, ideal for poli-sci majors)
Programmers
(Diversity, Community Service, Social programs. Must have strong interest in organizing and promoting events, creative, task-oriented, ideal for people seeking a career in marketing or event promotion)
Multimedia Specialist (Must have strong background in graphic design/web/multimedia and able to handle compiling CD's, editing video, creating/maintaining web sites, designing flyers, posters and print materials. Must be creative, flexible, able to work quickly, ideal for multimedia majors)
Intramurals (Must have interest in organizing and putting together sporting events and tournaments. Must be task oriented, reliable, and into sports.)
Environmental Sustainability Coordinator (strong knowledge of environmental concerns and sustainability, must be able to motivate and inform people, task oriented, reliable, and able to communicate with both students and faculty/staff)
