MP - Medical Professions Instructor Qualifications
MP 109, 110 and 111 Medical Terminology
- Associates degree (or higher) in a medical or allied health field with one year work experience in a health care facility or organization
OR
- Course work in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology and three years work experience in a health care facility or organization
MP 199 Health Law and Ethics
- Masters degree (or higher) in Law or Public Health
OR
- Associates degree (or higher) in a health field with three years work experience in the field of health law, health policy, or health services administration.
MP 201 Introduction to Electronic Health Records
- Bachelors degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Technology or Health Information Management plus four years work experience in the field.
OR
- Associates degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Technology or Health Information Management plus five years work experience in the field.
OR
- Demonstrated competency:
EITHER
- Bachelors degree in business administration, management, healthcare administration, or information technology, or related field, and
- Four years work experience in the health technology field specific to implementation or utilization of electronic health records (EHR), or
- Four years experience delivering training in electronic health record applications
OR
- Associates degree (or higher) in a medical or allied health field with five years experience in a health care facility or organization using electronic health record applications in their position
