Medical Terminology Instructor Requirements:
- We look for an advanced degree (Associate or higher) and of course for a medical credential but there are several that would work. Currently we have two different levels of credential in health information management, a medical assisting instructor with a nursing background and a rad tech teaching. We like to have people who have had formal classes in medical terminology but don't always hold to that standard as many programs don't have it. I often talk with candidates about their philosophy of teaching medical terminology. There are two approaches and we favor one over another.
