Policy Committee
The Policy Committee met Friday, October 10th, from 2-3:00 p.m., to discuss our schedule of topics for the year and set up a meeting schedule for both the Policy Committee and ad hoc Bylaws Committee.
The groups will usually be meeting on the Fridays preceding EAC meetings, the Bylaws Committee from 2-3, and the Policy Committee from 3-4. The next meetings of these groups will be November 14th in the Sylvania LRC.
The ad hoc committee's membership is currently the following:

- Steve Hudson
- Linda Bastian
This is a combination of most of the current Policy Committee members and some other interested parties. I'll be chairing it.
In addition, based on our May 14, 2003, update (attached), the Policy Committee would like to propose the following recommendation for discussion:
That a minimum prerequisite of Writing 115-readiness and Math 20-readiness, evidenced by coursework or placement test scores, for courses on the Gen. Ed. and A & B lists of the AAOT, and a "strong recommendation" of Writing 121-readiness and Math 60-readiness, be put into place at PCC .
The Policy Committee believes putting this recommendation will enhance student success in these courses.
