Students will also be required to take either WR 227 Technical and Professional Writing (preferred) or WR 123 English Composition. This course is required during the junior year of the program but may be taken before students transfer to OIT.

Note: The freshman year at OIT requires DH 100 and DH 101. Students transferring into the program from PCC as sophomores will not be required to take those courses. By passing the National Board exam, students have proven that they know the material in those two courses.

 

Applying to OIT Dental Hygiene Program

To be considered for selection to the OIT Dental Hygiene program, candidates must apply for admission. To be eligible for admission applicants must meet the following criteria

  1. Applicants musthave successfully completed all pre-dental hygiene courses or demonstrate that all courses will be completed by fall term of the year of entry
  2. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.50

The deadline for application is April 3, 2010.

Be sure to read and follow the application directions carefully. Applications that are not completed according to the directions will be disregarded

PCC endeavors to create accurate transfer guides for students; however, requirements may change without notice. Students are responsible for working with PCC advisors and their transfer institution to ensure that their academic plan will meet requirements and timelines.
