| Competencies | |
Foreign Language Proficiency/Competency – This is a requirement to graduate. It is helpful to have before you apply, but is not required for admission. Two years of high school foreign language OR two quarters of college foreign language OR satisfactory score on a test of foreign language proficiency. American Sign Language is accepted. Credits earned to meet the foreign language requirement will NOT count toward the bachelor’s degree. This competency can be prior to admission or while enrolled in the nursing program. |

Students will need to complete an additional 15 elective/Gen Ed credits at the 300-400 (university) level, but all others may be from PCC.
Students complete a minimum of 30 prerequisite credits for application, 45 prerequisite courses prior to enrolling. Once admitted, students will take three years of upper division nursing courses and general education courses in order to complete the program. The OHSU School of Nursing does not provide general education courses on any of their campuses. Once enrolled, students will take nursing courses at OHSU School of Nursing and general education courses at another institution. Over the three years, students will take a combination of courses in traditional classroom settings, as well as participate in clinical rotations.
