The Russian program's 200-level specialty courses focus on Russian culture, film and literature. All are conducted in English to allow for in-depth discussion. Russian Culture RUS 260 and RUS 261 are both 2-credit film courses that examine contemporary Russian social and cultural issues through English-subtitled Russian language films. Great Russian Writers RUS 241 is a 4-credit Russian Literature course that introduces students to the major Russian writers of the 19th and early 20th centuries in English translation.
