  • Strengths: medium-size, team atmosphere, good variety of exams
  • Ideal student: Interested, positive attitude, dependable, “people person”, good communication skills

Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center

  • Non-trauma ER and urgent care center, orthopedic clinic
  • 104,000 general radiographic exams per year
  • Strengths: Emphasis on quality and patient care, large variety of exams
  • Ideal student: Motivated, initiative, positive attitude, attention to detail, good communication skills and receptive to suggestions for improvement

Legacy Emanuel Hospital

  • Strengths: Variety of exams including acute injuries, computed radiography, and professional/respectful relationship with others
  • Ideal student: Able to work within a team or independently, copes with severe and disfiguring injuries, physically able to maintain fast pace, adjusts to changing and stressful situations, remains calm and able to learn in chaotic environment, confident and self-motivated

  • Strengths: Busy ER and OR, computerized radiography, new equipment
  • Ideal student: Enjoys smaller hospital atmosphere, “best and brightest”, initiative

Oregon Health & Sciences University Hospital

  • 75,000 general radiographic exams per year
  • Strengths: Wide variety of exams, patients, conditions, equipment, and staff. Most technologists are PCC grads and able to better assist current students
  • Ideal student: Open-minded, self-motivated, able to work independently as well as with others, physically able to stand entire day and assist incapacitated patients
  • Transportation and parking is a special concern

  • Ideal student: Energetic, independent, confident, able to think on their feet and handle pressure. Excellent for those interested in acute care and multiple challenges
