Students applying to the Radiography Program for 2017 admission are highly encouraged to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) in early October 2016. Please visit PCC's financial aid website for more information.

Criminal Background and Drug Screening
Applicants must be advised that if selected into the Radiography Program, they must successfully pass both a criminal background check and drug screen. The hospital affiliates will not allow any student into clinical without successful completion of both tests. Information concerning the Criminal Background Check process will be made available through the program's office, Room 306 in the HT building, Sylvania campus. If you have specific concerns or questions please contact the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Applications for the 2017-2019 Radiography Program will be accepted between February 1 and April 3, 2017. We will not accept any applications submitted before February 1, 2017. All application materials must be received by the Health Admissions office by 5pm on April 3, 2017. Late application materials and/or applications and materials postmarked on April 3, 2017 but received in the Health Admissions Office after the 5pm deadline will not be accepted.
All applicants to the radiography program must submit official, sealed transcripts (other than PCC transcripts) with their program application to the Health Admissions Office, even if previously submitted to PCC. Transcripts submitted to the Health Admissions Office separate from the application will not be accepted. Application materials submitted after April 3, 2017 at 5pm will not be considered and will render your application ineligible. Other PCC departments, including Student Records, will not be able accept radiography application transcripts.
When applying, please submit the following items:
- 2017 Radiography application form
- Official, sealed college transcripts (other than PCC)
- Transcripts are subject to review for transferability
- Please review the transcript policy above
- Statement of Computer Literacy Form (included with the Radiography Application)
- Non-refundable $40 application fee, made payable to PCC Radiography Program
- One page, single spaced, typed essay response to the supplemental essay questions

Important Notice for all Potential 2017-2019 Radiography Applicants
After initial review of science prerequisite grades and overall GPA, the top students will be invited to attend the clinical interview portion of the selection process. The second week of April, Radiography Applicants will be notified by PCC email whether they were selected for the interview portion of the selection process.
Students selected to take part in the clinical interview will be required to attend a mandatory orientation. The mandatory orientation will happen in the afternoon on April 12th and 13th, 2017.
This orientation will be held to discuss the clinical shadowing/interview process as well as the process for the criminal background check. Final selection takes place at the end of May and notifications of admission status will sent by PCC email the first week of June.
Post-acceptance Admissions Requirements
Admitted PCC Radiography students will need to meet the following requirements before they can begin attending classes.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check from agency designated by PCC.
- Provide proof of current immunizations
- Provide current proof of CPR for Health Care Providers certification.
Students should not pursue completing these requirements until they are formally accepted into the program and receive specific instructions from the Radiography Department.
