Lactation Education Certificate

The Lactation Education Certificate offers 90 contact hours of coursework (face-to-face and distance learning) only.  Students who complete this certificate program may qualify to take the IBLCE exam under Pathway 1 or 3 once they obtain the required education and clinical experience.

Please note: Applications will be reviewed on a first come-first serve basis.

Application timeline

  • June 7, 2014: LECP Office begins accepting applications
  • August 11, 2014: Priority Application deadline. Complete applications and materials are due in the LECP office by 5pm.
  • September 22, 2014: Last day to submit materials. Complete applications and materials are due in the LECP office by 5pm.
  • Applicants will be notified within two weeks of application submission
  • Fall term 2014: PCC LECP classes begin

Admissions Deadlines: Applications and required supporting documents must be received by the priority deadline in order to receive full consideration for the desired term. Admissions may close without warning after the priority deadline. 

After priority deadline, students submitting applications and supporting information will be considered for admission on a space-available basis

  • Complete the application.
  • The application and all associated documentation must be submitted to the LECP Office by the deadline listed above. Items must be postmarked by the deadline.
  • Faxed or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
