Honors courses are open to all PCC students having a minimum GPA of 3.25 whether or not they are admitted to the program, although membership in the Honors Program has significant benefits. Students admitted to the program not only more fully benefit from the Honors curriculum and community, they also have access to guidance on transfer and scholarship applications.
A student may apply for membership in the program by submitting an application.
The application process includes:
- the application
- two letters of recommendation,
- a letter of intent,
- and an interview with the Honors Council.
- The minimum GPA for full participation in the program is 3.5.
Students interested in the program who do not fully meet the requirements are invited to contact the Honors Program staff to discuss alternative application options, including portfolios and provisional membership.
Students admitted to the program should plan to take HON 101 within the first two terms of membership.
