This is the official website for the German Department at Portland Community College, Sylvania Campus.
Language Requirement Sequence
To complete the first year language sequence there are two options available: German 101, 102, and 103 or German 150 and 151.
To complete the second year language sequence there is one option available: German 201, 202, and 203.
For both first and second year classes there are day and evening classes offered.
In addition to language instruction, there are conversation, literature, culture, and composition courses available.
For students interested in transferring to an Oregon State University, the second year language credits will transfer.
Tutoring
The German Department offers tutors free of charge to students enrolled in German at PCC. The tutors are located in the open study area in the basement of CT. They are identified with a sign that reads "Deutsch."
