In the Aviation Science program, you can earn FAA airplane and helicopter certificates.

Airplane Certificates

If you’re seeking a career as an airplane pilot, you must earn an:

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine rating & Instrument rating

Most students will also select the Flight Instructor specialization option, which also requires them to earn a:

  • Certified Flight Instructor Certificate with Multi-Engine rating & Instrument rating

Helicopter Certificates

If you’re seeking a career as a helicopter pilot, you must earn an:

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (with an option of adding an Instrument rating)
  • Certified Flight Instructor Certificate
