Your Path to a Brighter Future

Do you want to get your GED and continue your education, but don’t know where to start? With the YES! Program, you can take classes to prepare for your GED tests, learn about interesting careers and get the support you need to achieve your goals.

The Right Fit 

YES! is for students who:

  • Are 16 to 20 years old
  • Live in one of the following school districts:  Portland, Beaverton*, Tigard-Tualatin, Lake Oswego, Sherwood, Hillsboro or David Douglas
  • Have dropped out of high school OR may not be able to graduate
  • Are interested in getting a GED

* Please note that enrollment in the YES Program for Beaverton school district students will be very limited. If you live in the Beaverton school district and would like help in exploring other possible options, please contact Jana Daugherty at 971-722-6213.

A Program that Supports YouYES student

As a scholarship program, YES! contracts with your school district to offer you an education at a very low cost. The scholarship covers the costs of your classes and GED tests. 

After you’ve completed your GED with the YES! Program, you may qualify to receive a fee waiver for one free term of classes at PCC. You may also be eligible for our Gateway to College program.

In addition, our program pairs you with a Resource Specialist to help you adjust to college life. Your Resource Specialist is there to advise you; teach you life skills, organization and time management; and provide you with referrals to community and career resources.
