PTE Teacher Preparation Course Offering
Are you a teacher in an
Oregon Department of Education "Approved" high
school professional technical education (pte)
program?
Did you obtain your pte
license from the Teacher Standards and Practices
Commission (TSPC) through the Instructor
Appraisal Committee (IAC) process?
Do you need to complete
some teacher preparation courses within the
first 3-years of your pte license in order to
apply for your 5-year pte license?
As a resource to help
high school pte teachers complete the TSPC
requirements as conveniently and inexpensively
as possible, PAVTEC has compiled a list of
potential education courses that may apply
towards this end. Not all of these courses are
equally applicable toward pte licensure. You
must be selective depending upon the IAC's and
TSPC's specific requirements for you. Also,
although all of these courses may be in the
institution's current catalog, some of them may
not be offered every year.
Click on the PCC Teacher
Education Course Offerings link below to see a
brief description of the courses, what terms
they are offered and the delivery method
(classroom or online). Additional Education
course offerings available at Chemeketa
Community College, Concordia University and
Oregon State University can also be found by
