Allowable Use of Perkins Funds

"The Act and this State Plan both allow for the expenditure of Perkins from Grade 7-14. Funds expended in grades 7-8 will be generally limited to career exploration activities, including exploration of nontraditional occupations and instructional strategies that integrate academic and technical instruction. Perkins funds expended at the secondary and post-secondary levels may only be used for state approved professional technical education programs and for support services that increase access and eliminate barriers to participation in professional technical programs."
