Middle School Girls Conference

What Is It?
Coordinated by the PAVTEC Gender Equity Team,
the mission of the Conference is to encourage
middle school girls to take math, science and
technology courses throughout high
school.
The goals of the Conference are:
- to introduce the girls to female role models
in math, science, and technology, and
- to provide middle school
girls with stimulating and exciting
experiences related to math, science and
technology.
The PAVTEC Gender Equity Team is composed of volunteers that include active
and retired educators and other lay people who have a passion
to promote the opportunities for women in
nontraditional careers.
This year's conference is sponsored by
contributions from Oregon Department of
Education Office of Professional Technical
Education and PAVTEC.
