Q: How much does it cost for PCC Dual
Credit?
A:
Upon
registering for PCC Dual Credit you will be
asked to pay a processing fee of
$35, rather than the $70/credit cost of the
course. Savings to you (and your parents)
are
considerable, and some students earn a terms
worth or more of credit this way.
Q: How
can I find out which classes are eligible for
college credit at my high school?
A:
The eligible classes you are registered for
this year are listed in a the first few
lines of the attached letter. Click
on Participating High Schools and select
your high school to view the complete list
of courses eligible for PCC Dual Credit.
Q: How will I know if
these credits will transfer to my college of
choice?
A:
It is
always important to check with the college
or university you plan to attend to know how
these credits will be applied. The credits
you earn provide an advantage whether you
use them at PCC, another college, or on your
resume as you explore employment
opportunities.
Q: What is
MyPCC?
A:
MyPCC is a set of Web based tools that gives
you access to a variety of PCC resources,
including registration, e-mail, calendar,
groups, course tools, and many others. This
is all accessed through your Internet
browser and in many cases can be customized
to meet your specific needs.
Q: How do
I login to
MyPCC?
A:
Go to
my.pcc.edu and follow these steps to get
started.

As a first time user
click on the ‘First Time User?’
link underneath the login button, you
will be asked to set your password,
which needs to be at least nice
characters containing letters and
numbers. Clock Save Changes when
you’re done.

As a first time user, you
will also be asked to create a secret
questions and the answer. If you later
forget your password, you can ask for
the secret question and entering the
answer will allow you to set a new
password for your account. Click Save
Changes.

Return to the main login
screen. Type your user name. This is
your first and last name separated by a
period (example: john.doe). Some users
will have a number that follows their
last name. If you’re not sure what your
user name is, click the ‘Login Help’
link to find out.

Type your password. If
this is your first time loggin into
MyPCC, your password will be your
birthdate (example: May 6, 1983 =
050683). If you forget your password,
click the ‘Login Help’ link to
use your secret question to set a new
password.

Click the Login
button.

Q: What happens
next?
A:
You will receive a
confirmation letter
from
the college advising you
that the PCC Dual Credit process has been
completed. At that time you can contact
PCC’s Student Records office at 503-614-7100
to order an Official Transcript to be sent
to the college of your choice.
