Allowable Uses of Perkins Funds

(page 18) "The Act and this State Plan both allow for the expenditure of Perkins from Grade 7-14. Funds expended in grades 7-8 will be generally limited to career exploration activities, including exploration of nontraditional occupations and instructional strategies that integrate academic and technical instruction. Perkins funds expended at the secondary and postsecondary levels may only be used for state approved professional technical education programs and for support services that increase access and eliminate barriers to participation in professional technical programs."
