Trial access is limited to PCC faculty, staff, and students. Some trials may only work from on-campus.

Access World News

Research unique current and archived news content for information on topics, events, issues, people, businesses, and more through this in-depth resource. Easy online access to local, in-state, national and international news sources, including newspapers, broadcast transcripts, newswires, news blogs, news web-only content and video. Alerts and "my personal" functionality helps students and faculty track and manage their research projects.

American History in Video

Provides the largest and richest collection of video available online for the study of American history, with 2,000 hours and more than 5,000 titles on completion. The collection allows students and researchers to analyze historical events, and their presentation over time, through commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaries. This release now provides 1526 titles, with new videos from California Newsreel and PBS, equalling approximately 528 hours. (Trial ends November 15, 2009)

Credo Reference

Credo Reference is a full-text online reference service that is very useful for students beginning a research project, but don't know where to begin. Enter a search term, and view results from within the database, and then launch the same search from Credo Reference into PCC's library catalog and databases. Online access to: DSM-IV-TR® Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition; DSM-IV-TR® Handbook of Differential Diagnosis; Symptom Index (taken from DSM-IV-TR Handbook of Differential Diagnosis ); and Cases from DSM-IV-TR® Casebook and Its Treatment Companion.
