Textbook reserves

The primary goal of the Libraries' collections is to augment and enhance the program of instruction. Textbooks adopted for class use will not normally be purchased for the reserve collection. If copies of textbooks are desired for reserve use, these copies should be purchased with department funds. If deemed appropriate, the Libraries may purchase materials for inclusion into the reserve collection at the campus where the class is being taught. The Libraries will not routinely purchase consumable materials such as workbooks or tests.

The Libraries have allocated a limited amount of money in its book budget for PCC Bookstore purchases of reserve materials. No more than $200.00 of these funds may be used for any one academic department even though the department may have classes at all campuses.
