Free E-Oregonian for Educators
Beginning September 1, 2009, the Northwest's largest daily newspaper, The Oregonian, will be providing an e-edition in an easy to use format as part of the Newspapers in Education program. Teachers can sign up so their classroom can receive an exact electronic replica of the print edition of that day's Oregonian newspaper. Check the details below and get started today.
- Cost
- There is no cost for this program. The e-edition newspaper is funded by the Oregonian Vacation Donation Program.
- Sign-up procedure
- Go to The Oregonian in Education. Fill out and submit the online form.
- Searching for particular articles
- Article searching can be done by selecting the "search" icon and typing into the "search" input box. Searching can be performed on the past 30 days of newspapers.
- Printing articles, photos and features
- To print a desired page element, select the printer icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Email articles
- Find the article then select the e-mail icon.
- Download the entire paper
- The e-edition is available in PDF format to download for offline viewing.
