New Summit Catalog Launching December 1

Summit is a library catalog of materials owned by PCC and 35 other libraries around the Pacific Northwest. All Summit materials are available to PCC credit students, faculty, and staff. Beginning on December 1, Summit will feature an exciting new interface. Some added benefits of the new interface allow you to:

  • Limit your search by format, year, language, topic, and more
  • Write reviews and add tags to items
  • Access items worldwide if they are not available locally

Please note: for the first few months, you will NOT be able to renew items in Summit. However, starting December 1, the checkout period will be increased to six weeks. Items that are checked out before November 30 will be due on December 12, in order to shut the old Summit down in a timely manner. For more information, please contact library staff or view the New Summit F.A.Q.

Updated PCC Library Catalog

Coming summer, 2009, the PCC library catalog will change as well. Expect to hear a lot more about this as we move forward. The library will update this page regularly and post it prominently on the website throughout the process. Jeff Ring, the Library Technical Services Manager, is in charge of the project. If you want technical details, he’s the person to ask. The library will also be offering training for those wanting to learn more about searching and faculty are encouraged to ask librarians about the changes.

Stay tuned, there is more news on the horizon!
